Vashon High School’s QSA has been successful in advocating for all-gender restrooms and the newly refurbished facilities were officially “opened for business” on Jan 2 by Leo MacLeod, Iris and Amelia, students who have lead this project from the beginning. Congratulations to everyone involved, and thank you to the School Board, Superintendent Michael Soltman, VHS Principal Danny Rock, Yvonne Monique Aviva, the project manager, Aidan Key and Gender Diversity, Brennon and Northwest Network, and to VARSA who provided the funding for all the parent education and staff training. It just shows what a supportive and dynamic community can achieve!
